In many ways Gordon Snee led an unremarkable life. For most of it he lived in a rural village, commuting to work, and going to the pub in the evenings. But the body of work he left attests to an extraordinary life-long enquiry into how people see the world, and make sense of what they see.

WHO IS GORDON SNEE?

Gordon Snee painted from the late 1940s to 2013. He rarely exhibited his work. It was only after his death in 2013 that his vast legacy of paintings, drawings, maquettes and other works came to light.
